Carole is a children’s book author and writing teacher as well as a prize-winning poet with work published in a variety of literary journals and magazines

She is a reviewer for Magpies and convener of the spoken word event Stopping all Stations. Her writing interests are varied and include the picture book, short story and personal essay.

During her career, Carole has worked as a Performing Arts teacher with primary and pre-school children, a music consultant for the Department of Education and Training and has performed as a singer/songwriter. When she is not teaching, writing or editing, Carole works part-time in a listening role for the WellSpring Centre and volunteers to monitor and protect the endangered hooded plover.
